A smiling woman with wavy blonde hair, glasses, and a black shirt stands in an art studio with her hand in her pocket. Behind her are paintings of an elephant, a buffalo, a pond, and a vegetable, as well as a landscape painting on an easel, surrounded by art supplies and a color palette.

About the Artist

I’m Rachael Hayton, and I’m excited to share my world of art with you. Much of my inspiration comes from my home country of New Zealand, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and iconic wildlife.

I also find inspiration in the people, places, animals, and everyday objects around me. As chair of the Waikato Society of Art, a local not-for-profit group, I help organise exhibitions and classes to encourage others to engage with art. Giving back to my community is something I truly enjoy.

Alongside my artistic passion, I work as a Chief Financial Officer, helping businesses thrive. I love the balance of transitioning from finance and figures to creating flowing lines and intricate images on my easel.

Through bringing my life and travel experiences onto the canvas, I aim to infuse my work with a richness that I hope you will also connect with and enjoy.
