How It Works

More than copying a photograph

This November, I'm opening a limited number of spaces for original soft pastel commissions, created from your photographs and the memories behind them.

My commissions aren't about simply copying a photograph. I look for the light, atmosphere and details that make the subject feel familiar, while creating a finished artwork that can be enjoyed for years to come.

What can I paint?

I particularly love creating paintings of:

You don't need the perfect photograph. Send me a few images and tell me a little about why it matters to you.

Have a chat

Tell me what you'd like painted and the story behind it. There's no obligation to go ahead.

STEP 02

Send your photos

We'll work out which image makes the strongest painting, the size, and the details to keep.

STEP 03

Review the composition

I'll put together a mock-up of your subject in the setting you want. It's a guide, not the final painting.

STEP 04

Approve and pay a deposit

Once you're happy with the composition, you pay a deposit and I start drawing.

STEP 05

I paint it

I'll send progress updates along the way, so you always know where it's at.

Packed and sent

Carefully packed in my Hamilton studio and sent to you.

Packed and posted with care

Every painting is wrapped and packed in my Hamilton studio before it's sent. Postage and any tariffs or import duties are paid by you. Overseas commissions are limited to a max size so they can travel safely.
